There are several things that are great about the new Excel function VSTACK.
First, the syntax is very simple =VSTACK(Data Set 1, Data Set 2 and so on).
Second, if you update the source data set, the consolidated data set automatically updates. If, like me, you have worked in forecasting and budgeting, that is a huge saving in time and effort.
Third, if you create a pivot table from the consolidated data set, then if you change the source data, the consolidated data set automatically updates. If you refresh the pivot table it refreshes.
Keeping control of the source data and instantly updating the consolidated data is very fast, accurate and powerful.
